This application integrates with the wireless microscopes "AirMicro" and "ProScope Mobile," providing functionalities for capturing and saving high-quality images acquired through these devices. It is particularly suitable for applications such as dermatological examinations and educational demonstrations, offering reliable image preservation and review capabilities.

Developed by Scalar Corporation, the pioneers of handheld microscopy technology, the AirMicro App and AirMicroPad App are designed for compatibility with the Scalar AirMicro and Bodelin ProScope Mobile, which are among the first wireless handheld microscopes optimized for Apple devices including iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. The AirMicro App facilitates real-time viewing of live video streams and allows users to capture still images directly into the device's photo library. The hardware creates its own WiFi network, enabling concurrent operation on up to 253 Apple Mobile Devices, making it suitable for group settings.

The application displays images in full-screen mode with adjustable resolution settings ranging from QVGA to VGA. Its user-friendly interface balances simplicity with robustness, making it applicable in diverse environments such as classrooms, clinical settings, or forensic investigations. Overall, the integrated system represents a significant advancement in mobile scientific microscopy.
